“Freedom is Key: A Playboy Exhibition” marked the first-ever official Playboy exhibition in Los Angeles. Presented by Playboy Enterprises in partnership with Circle Exhibits, this exclusive showcase took place at the Beverly Center. It provided a unique perspective on Playboy’s six-decade commitment to social progress, free speech, civil rights, and gender equality. Curated for a diverse audience, the groundbreaking exhibition featured rare, previously unseen artifacts and images from Playboy’s influential history, including profiles of figures like Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and George Lincoln Rockwell. The exhibition also displayed 65 years of iconic magazine covers and highlighted the work of contemporary contributing photographers, including names like Kelia Anne, Ryan Pfluger, Adrienne Raquel, Ali Mitton, Christopher Von Steinbach, and Ana Dias. Visitors could engage in interactive photo opportunities, stepping into the world of the Playboy Club, taking a seat at Hugh Hefner’s desk, and posing for their personalized magazine cover.
